The Ancient Olympia Festival is characterized by the variety of themes and aims to the appointment of all the areas of the ancient site, the two ancient theatres (the theatre of Olympia Floka and the small theatre Drouva), the exhibition areas, events at the pedestrian zone of Olympia town. Concerts, theatrical plays for children and adults, photography exhibitions and even more are waiting for the visitors to enjoy a wonderful summer. The Ancient Olympia Festival is scheduled during the months of July and August every year.
The schedule of the festival for 2015 is the following:
- July 18 9.15 pm. "The murderess of Papadiamantis' at Theatre Floka
- July 22 9:00 PM. Children's performance "The Little Prince" at Theatre Drouvas
- July 24 National Theatre Trojan Women by Euripides, directed by Sotiris Hatzaki at Theatre Floka
- July 29 Badminton Theater Electra by Euripides Directed by Spyros A. Evaggelatos at Theatre Floka
- August 4 Concert Papakonstantinou - Thiveos at Theatre Floka
- August 8 Sophocles' Antigone by Nikita Tsakiroglou Director Themis Moumoulidis at Theatre Floka
- August 10 National Theatre "Ecclesiazusae Aristophanes' at Theatre Floka
- August 12 Concert Natasha Bofiliou at Theatre Floka
- August 17 Concert Kostis Maravegias at Theatre Drouvas
- August 21 Acharnians Aristophanes with Vassilis Charalambopoulos, Direction - Performance: John Kakleas at Theatre Floka
- August 29 Night full moon with a concert by the Colors of Elis in collaboration with the Archaeological Ilia
